The application of wire and cable can be divided into three main applications.

1、Electric power system

The wire and cable products used in power system mainly include bare wire for overhead transmission line, bus bar, power cable and wire and cable for electrical equipment.

2、Information transmission system

Wires and cables used in information transmission systems include telephone cables, cable television cables, data transmission cables, radio frequency cables for mobile wireless communication systems and various electronic cables. In recent years, the proportion of fiber optic cable in the information transmission network increases rapidly, and becomes the main transmission medium of the information transmission line.

3、Electrical equipment, electrical appliances inside the wire and cable.

In the two major systems of power and information, from the starting point of the system (such as generators, signal transmitters), through the various nodes of the system (such as transformers, program-controlled switches) to the user terminal (such as household appliances, telephones, television, computers), all these devices use a large number of wires and cables.

According to their functions, these wires and cables can be divided into: one is the carrier electromagnetic wire (winding wire) which converts electric energy into magnetic energy or magnetic energy into electric energy; the other is the connecting wire which acts as the component of the device to transmit electric energy or signal.
